Job Responsibilities

  1. Establish and improve the base’s HSE management system, formulate HSE management rules and regulations, operation procedures and emergency plans, and organize the implementation and supervision.
  2. Be responsible for safety management, carry out safety risk identification and assessment, formulate risk control measures, supervise the rectification of potential safety hazards, and prevent safety accidents (fire, explosion, mechanical injury, etc.).
  3. Be responsible for environmental protection management, monitor the discharge of waste water, waste gas, solid waste, etc., ensure that the discharge meets local environmental standards, organize environmental protection treatment and remediation, and prevent environmental pollution.
  4. Be responsible for employee health management, organize occupational health examinations, carry out occupational health education and training, prevent occupational diseases, and protect employee physical and mental health.
  5. Organize HSE training and education activities, improve employees’ HSE awareness and operational skills, and ensure that employees master relevant rules and regulations and operation procedures.
  6. Supervise and inspect the implementation of HSE work in each department, investigate and handle HSE violations and accidents, summarize experience and lessons, and put forward rectification and improvement measures.
  7. Coordinate with local HSE supervision departments, complete HSE approval, inspection and acceptance and other work, and ensure the base’s HSE work compliance.
  8. Establish an HSE team, cultivate local HSE professional talents, and improve the team’s HSE management ability and professional level.

Job Requirements

  1. Local African nationality, 35-50 years old, bachelor’s degree or above, majors in Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health, etc., with HSE-related professional qualification certificates preferred.
  2. More than 8 years of HSE management experience in manufacturing enterprises, including more than 5 years of experience in the same-level HSE management position, with experience in large-scale production base HSE management preferred.
  3. Familiar with local African HSE laws and regulations, industry standards and group HSE management requirements, with rich HSE risk control and accident handling experience.
  4. Possess excellent HSE management ability, risk identification and assessment ability, emergency handling ability and supervision and inspection ability.
  5. Good Chinese and English communication and expression ability, able to skillfully carry out HSE training and external communication work.
  6. Integrity, strong sense of responsibility, rigorous work style, strong principle, and awareness of safety and environmental protection first.
